April 5, 2010 (FPRC) -- Volusia Manufacturers Association (VMA) is the only manufacturing trade association established by manufacturers uniting Volusia and Flagler County Manufacturers and Associates. The Volusia Manufacturers Association offers information, education, and networking opportunities for members, with over 60 programs annually. Each month, one manufacturing member hosts a plant tour for all members to attend to see daily operations and to gain understanding into their business operations.
The Volusia Manufacturers Association April 2010 Plant tour will be held at Tel-Tron Technologies on April 21, 2010, from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. Tel-Tron Technologies is located at 226 Fentress Boulevard in Daytona Beach, Florida, with a contact number of 386-255-1921.
Tel-Tron Technologies has been in operation since 1945, when Herman Dawson founded the company. Their first products were manufactured coin-operated chair side radios for hotels. The Tel-Tron Technologies Corporation was immediately successful because of the new radio technology Dawson developed which allowed high quality reception in high-rise hotel buildings, which had not been possible before. At present, Tel-Tron Technologies is a leader in manufacturing advanced emergency call systems for independent senior or disabled residents; integrable accessories for emergency call systems to suit lifestyle choices; monitoring life safety systems for living communities, including fully integrated smoke and fire protection; and monitoring devices for residents for use by companies, such as pocket pagers, or family members wanting to check on senior loved ones.
Tel-Tron additionally manufactures Auditrak which is a software program for their call systems that allows approved users to view call system activity from any computer with internet access. Users can view statistics by days, living communities, staff response times, and can generate email alerts and text messages to designated users if emergency calls are not being handled within an established timeframe.
