The SuperTopo.com staff chose the following winners after extensive field testing in Yosemite, Washington, and Utah. Each climbing glove also underwent extensive side by side tests to evaluate key performance metrics such as dexterity, fit, durability, ease of handling, and other factors. Black Diamond Stone â€' winner of the Editor's Choice Award for fingerless glove 2010. It had the most dexterity and best fit of any glove we test. According to gear tester Chris McNamara, 'the Stone Glove offered the perfect balance of dexterity and durability â€' it's the ultimate aid glove.'
Mad Rock Wall Glove â€' winner of the Editor's Choice Award for full-fingered glove for 2010. It had an incredible articulated fit and great dexterity with above average durability. According to Chris McNamara, 'Out of our stack of gloves to test, The Wall Glove was what we reached for the most often for belaying, rappelling, or just doing chores around the house.'
Black Diamond Transition and PMI Fingerless Glove â€' winner of the Recommended award for 2010. This award is given to products that scored very highly, and offered unique capabilities. According to Chris McNamara, 'Both gloves scored just below the award winners but were still awesome. We would use them in a heartbeat.'
