May 10, 2010 (FPRC) -- BE Broadband announced today that it would be launching a landline phone service to its customer base within the next 6 months. BE will initially be looking for people to try out the new service, with pricing details and availability being confirmed closer to the launch. Together BE's landline phone and broadband packages will offer a premium option to customers who demand the best-in-breed of their communications providers. The new landline phone service will benefit from BE's award-winning customer service and will sit alongside its award-winning broadband packages.
'We have received a lot of demand from our members about offering a landline phone service, and the plans we have announced today are a response to this demand,' said Tom Williams, Head of BE Broadband. 'As with other new products such as our line bonding service, which offers speeds of up to 48Mbs download, we will be rolling out a trial to a select number of BE members to make sure that the service will be a viable option to roll out across our entire customer base. We know how many of our customers value the premium experience they get through BE's broadband packages, and by bringing the same quality and levels of customer service with to a landline phone proposition we hope to bring added value to customers who are already delighted with our broadband service.'
BE's parent company, O2, announced at the beginning of the year that it would start offering home phone to new and existing home broadband customers.
BE's Broadband service has been widely recognised, including being named as the best balance of price and performance by ISP Review, fastest average download and upload speeds on the market by PC Advisor. Get More broadband news and compare broadband packages at www.broadchoice.co.uk.
