May 12, 2010 (FPRC) -- TakeCare launches NannyTest – an online personality test that helps parents assess potential caregivers in order to choose the best possible nanny, au pair or babysitter for their kids. NannyTest is unique in combining both risk assessment (also known as an integrity test) and personal traits assessment. The test provides better insight into the personality and traits of the nanny, and ensures parents that they have done the best they can to leave their kids in good hands, as well as protect their home and property.
TakeCare has been founded to enable parents to use the same psychological screening tools deployed by larger organizations, by making professional personality tests easily accessible, affordable and easy to use.
Says Yossi Pinkas, TakeCare’s CEO: “Over the years I have employed several nannies and quite a few babysitters for my three kids. Despite interviewing them carefully and checking their references with prior employers, I have always been worried that I might have missed something, and felt I should have done more to learn about the person who is about to enter my family and take care of my kids”. Corporate recruiters are well aware of the low validity of interviews and reference checks, even when performed by professionals. This is why many businesses (including some 80% of the US Fortune 500 companies and 75% of the UK Times 100 companies) enhance their recruitment process by using pre-employment psychometric tests. “If interviews and reference checks are insufficient for businesses, are they enough for us parents?” asks Yossi. “I believe personality assessments are as important as interviews, reference checks and background checks and that all parents should perform them as an integral part of their nanny, au pair or babysitter selection process”.
TakeCare’s NannyTest has been designed specifically for the assessment of nannies, au pairs and babysitters, with a focus on identifying risk factors such as tendency towards violent behavior, drug or alcohol abuse, truthful reporting, theft from place of employment etc. The test also assesses other personality traits: responsibility, obedience and discipline, coping with pressure, positive attitude and more.
Tests are administered over the web, can be performed anywhere where a PC with internet access is available and do not require the candidate to have any prior experience in operating a PC. The test report is generated automatically and immediately once the test is completed and is designed to be clear and easy to understand by parents having no relevant professional background.
