May 14, 2010 (FPRC) -- SCOTTSDALE, AZ -- Jawa is pleased to announce the first recipient of its employee-driven, philanthropic-program ‘Jawa Gives’ is Donor Network of Arizona (DNA). ‘Jawa Gives’ allows Jawa employees to nominate individual charities that have positively affected their lives to receive a one-time donation; a different charity being selected each month. DNA was nominated by an employee whose 14-month-old daughter recently received a life-saving liver transplant through the organization.

“Donor Network of Arizona was the perfect choice for our first ‘Jawa Gives’ recipient as it has significantly touched the life of one of our employees. Jawa prides itself on giving back to the community, and supporting a local organization like the DNA is a tremendous pleasure,” said Jawa’s CEO.

In addition to a monetary donation, Jawa will be participating in DNA’s ‘Workplace Partnership for Life Program’ to help build awareness about the need for donation and encourage employees to sign up on the DonateLifeAZ Registry. As part of the program, Jawa will be hosting a speaker from DNA on May 19 at its offices in Scottsdale.

Arizonans can save and heal lives by checking the box to become registered organ and tissue donors when they apply for a driver’s license or state ID at the Motor Vehicle Division (MVD). They can also sign up online at www.DonateLifeAZ.org or call 1-88-94-DONOR.
