Jersey Shore Amusement Park Morey's Piers Announces The Arrival of Ghost Ship…To Rave Reviews
New Jersey amusement parks company Morey's Piers recently added a new attraction to its lineup of NJ family amusement park thrills.

June 16, 2010 (FPRC) -- The Wildwoods, NJ--In a green haze and with explosive charge, the much anticipated and monstrous new attraction Ghost Ship arrived on at the Jersey Shore Amusement Park Morey’s Piers over Memorial Day weekend, much to the frightful delight of many summertime thrill seekers and amusement enthusiasts alike.
"We were surrounded by family and guests, along with our talented team of designers (Dreamers) and contractors (Dream Builders), when the Ghost Ship finally opened to its first passengers. We were exhausted by the labor, but all that was forgotten as soon as we saw the look on their faces," said second generation brothers and owners of Morey’s Piers, Jack Morey, project manager, and Will Morey.
The new attraction was well received by numerous guests and the NJ 'family' of amusement park enthusiasts with shrieks, screams and cries of fear. Al Stromer, Event Coordinator for the Darkride and Funhouse Enthusiasts (DAFE), exclaimed, "I was really impressed with the Ghost Ship! I didn't think that the facade was going to be that huge! It takes quite a while to walk through it too, which I really like in an attraction. It's great that the Morey team put together an attraction has such show. I think that the Morey's have a new hit on their hands!"
Adam Revesz, the American Coaster Enthusiast Representative for the New Jersey Region noted, "The exterior of the ship is so imposing that it's an instant Wildwood Boardwalk icon! I really liked the mesh of live actors, stunts and animatronics into a permanent attraction, and I can't wait to see how it evolves."
"I was impressed with Ghost Ship. It is very well done both inside and out. Everyone that I talked to that had been through it had very positive reviews," said Geff Ford of the Western New York Coaster Club.
Guests posted comments on the Morey's Piers & Beachfront Waterparks' Facebook fan page. Cathrine Fiorentino O'Brien said, "The Ghost ship is worth a trip to Wildwood. The Morey's Gang really know what they are doing. Congratulations on the Grand Opening!" Michael Torres Jr. seconded the sentiment on Facebook by writing, "I have experienced Ghost Ship three times in two days. Each visit was better than the previous."
