June 17, 2010 (FPRC) -- MARIETTA, GA -- My Tarp, the leading online retailer of canvas tarps, now has four different grades of canvas available to meet the specific needs of their customers. Customers can choose from standard, heavy duty, super duty and flame retardant.

Because they are 100% cotton, they are perfect for covering stationary objects that need a breathable canvas tarp to prevent condensation and protect the equipment and supplies.

"Different situations require different grades of canvas. Whether customers need a basic canvas tarp, something a bit heavy duty or even flame retardant materials, My Tarp has the products that will meet their needs. Our fully treated canvas tarps are also resistant to water, mildew and rot. Canvas tarps last longer than poly or vinyl tarps when properly treated," said Steve Gao, Customer Service Manager of My Tarp.

The canvas tarps available from My Tarp have double-stitched seams and hems that help to strengthen the tarp to prevent tearing. They use rust-resistant brass tie-down grommets that are spaced approximately every two feet along all sides of the tarp. Canvas tarps are more environmentally friendly than their poly and vinyl counterparts, and with good care will last longer as well. The canvas tarps can be re-treated using Canvak or losso Water Repellant Spray.

Customers can choose from five available colors including natural white, olive drab, mustard tan, brown and green. Those in need of larger size tarps can contact the friendly and experienced customer service department to order a custom canvas tarp. They are not suitable as a car or truck tarp or boat cover as the wax and dye in the canvas may rub off and stain the exterior. Additionally, canvas tarps are not recommended for indoor use because they initially have an odor and can leave stains.
