30 Year Old Sweet Corn Business Opens 2 New Locations in Wichita, KS
About 30 years ago, two sisters and a cousin, wanting to earn some summer cash, opened a fresh sweet corn stand in their grandparent’s front yard. Today, Gaeddert Farms Sweet Corn has grown to 11 locations this summer 2010, which includes 2 new stands in the in the Wichita, KS area.

June 21, 2010 (FPRC) -- In the beginning, the kids were excited when they sold 5 dozen ears of corn in a day. Over the years, the three kids have grown up to be Gaeddert Farms Sweet Corn, Inc. Today, their customers number in the thousands and come from Alaska to Florida.
In order to deliver the freshest corn in Kansas, their stands are located within 60 miles or so from Gaeddert Farms. Every morning at 3, they pick the corn and sort through the cobs to get rid of any corn they themselves would not eat. Then, the corn is delivered straight from the farm to their sweet corn stands located in and around Wichita, Kansas. This direct market allows customers to experience sweet corn fresh picked daily and full of natural sweetness. Gaeddert Farms confidently stands behind their statement, “Freshest Corn in Kansas!”
This year, Gaeddert Farms Sweet Corn is opening two new locations.
• South Wichita - Pawnee & Broadway
• East Wichita - Kellogg & Greenwich
