Hodgdon-Miank Construction Completes First U.S. Store for Havaianas
Hodgdon-Miank Construction has completed tenant improvements in two weeks for the first U.S. store for International brand Havaianas. Located at 300 Pacific Coast Highway in downtown Huntington Beach, the new 1,250-square-foot store is situated right next to the beach, just opposite the pier.

June 29, 2010 (FPRC) -- COLTON, CALIF. ] Inland Empire-based Hodgdon-Miank Construction announced today that the company has completed tenant improvements for the first U.S. store for Havaianas. The world's most stylish and comfortable flip-flop brings Brazilian chic to California with the opening of their first U.S. location in the heart of downtown Huntington Beach.
Located at 300 Pacific Coast Highway at the Pierside Pavilion, the Havaianas store is situated right next to the beach, just opposite the pier. The sleek 1,250-square-foot store, which was completed in a mere two weeks, features the brand's largest U.S. selection with over 150 styles. Along with a "Make Your Own Havaianas" customizable station, the store will carry an eclectic array of limited edition sandals that are exclusive to the Huntington Beach location and feature custom flip-flop shaped furniture and a chandelier made out of thousands of mini sandals.
Hodgdon-Miank Construction's Dan Wallner served as the Project Manager; and Tom Blank served as the Superintendent. Hodgdon-Miank Construction is also the general contractor that is renovating a portion of the Pierside Pavilion and converting the 33,049-square-foot theater complex to a multi-use Class gAh office and restaurant space. Brenda Economides and Kevin Barnes of EcoBarnes are the architects for both Havaianas and the Pierside Pavilion renovation.
