July 21, 2010 (FPRC) -- AdriaComm, LLC, today announced the availability of its online meeting software, ICUNOW™, free for end-users who want to utilize the Internet for videoconferencing and web conferencing, but find Skype™ limited in its offering and taxing of computer resources.
“Professional users demand a higher level of functionality than Skype can offer,” says Connor Vlakancic, AdriaComm senior vice president of sales and marketing. “Our decision to make ICUNOW available free to end-users is to demonstrate its greater value. Corporate users will still be able to purchase and operate ICUNOW and take advantage of its scalability, strong encryption, and adherence to military and healthcare security standards.
ICUNOW can be used to conduct meetings with a limitless number of users, and it delivers unique functionality that includes multipolling voice and application sharing. Users of proprietary systems such as Polycom, Tandberg, Lifesize, and Sony are also accommodated.
Participation in the AdriaComm program requires a one-step registration that consists of submitting the user’s name and email address.
AdriaComm was formed to develop online collaborative software, including versions that have been tested with individual online users. The company has been awarded two patents for addressing the vital aspects of online conferencing that deal with Firewall and NAT traversal.
