August 2, 2010 (FPRC) --PURMEREND, THE NETHERLANDS -- Leading Holland tours company Amsterdam City Tours will soon be expanding its roster of trips outside of Amsterdam. These day trips will take visitors to locations including Cologne and Aken in Germany and to Arnhem Maastricht and Dutch UNESCO World Heritage sites. Like its current tour packages, the new day trips will originate from Amsterdam.
Adding more day trips that originate from Amsterdam is a logical next step for the company. The company has long been known for offering the largest selections Holland day trips in Holland, but has not until now addressed travelers that want to explore beyond the country's borders. As a result, the company will be formulating several of its most requested tours and creating exciting adventure tour packages around these popular destinations.
This announcement comes in the wake of several positive statistics. Visits to the company's website have increased more than threefold, even during a time of economic downturn. They are seeing more travelers from areas of the world outside Europe and the United States. These two factors make now an opportune time for the company to begin fielding Holland tours to new destinations.
"Cologne and Aken are logical choices for travelers who want a taste of Europe just beyond the borders of Holland. Although they are in Germany, they close enough for a day trip. These cities offer a taste of fascinating German culture and return to Amsterdam by day's end," said Menno Jong, Director of Amsterdam City Tours.
In addition to new tours outside the border, Amsterdam City Tours will soon add several new tours in Holland. A new tour will allow visitors to explore several UNESCO World Heritage sites. Another will take visitors to the town of Arnheim, a city of historical significance where Holland culture abounds.
"Amsterdam and the surrounding area is one of the most fascinating parts of Europe. We are excited to add these new Germany and Holland tours to our list of popular tour destinations. We've anticipated the needs of our clients and have developed tours that will give them the excitement they seek while also saving time and money," said Jong.
