In Windows Explorer record as you copy, rename, delete, open and/or zip files and folders. Replay the recorded VBScript script with one click. Modify your recording or write more powerful scripts in our Editor without ever learning the Visual Basic Script language.
Tired of redoing the same file copies, deletes, renames in Window Explorer? Windows command line batch files too cumbersome? Automate repetitious file copies and other file management by recording in Windows Explorer then replaying it with one click.
The Recorder, a Windows Explorer extension, makes creating and replaying a file management script easy so most PC users can do it. In Explorer you select a file(s) as normal and right click for the context menu. Selecting 'You Can Record' from the context menu opens the recording window where you name the script file to record. In this window you copy, cut, rename, delete, open or zip the selected file(s). As you work You Can Author records an English sentence in the You Can Author Editor. When you complete your file tasks your saved sentences are translated to a VBScript file and a shortcut to the file is created so you can replay it.
Advanced users can modify the recorded English sentences in the You Can Author Editor. You modify a sentence, called a command sentence, by completing a form. Command sentences offer many powerful options not available while recording in Windows Explorer. Command sentences automatically convert to Microsoft's Visual Basic script. No need to know Visual Basic scripting. Write Visual Basic scripts for file management quickly without knowing the language!
File Scripts for Users is available as freeware. The full version costs $19.95 for a single-user license with free minor upgrades. Network and site licenses are available.
