August 24, 2010 (FPRC) -- There are few things more important to our country than protecting our freedom yet that firm belief often faces obstacles within our own borders. While we send our brave troops out to foreign lands to defend the very beliefs our nation was founded on we are rooted in an internal battle to honor the “unalienable rights” of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness outlined in the Declaration of Independence.
As political parties pick apart the very foundation that built this country the rights of the everyday man have become more and more compromised, threatening to destroy an individual’s ability to live free from the burdens of bad policies, corporate greed, social upheaval and global dilemmas.
While the fight to protect our rights is certainly great, there are those fiercely independent individuals who have placed their freedom and the safety of their families above all else and will do whatever is necessary to maintain their way of life. These “survivalists” have recognized the uncertain future and are willing to establish their own self-sustaining way of life that keeps them free from the very issues that threaten their way of life.
