Videos from the Best New Young Talent Screen in Amsterdam
The city of Amsterdam will be showcasing the work of some of Europe’s best young video makers as part of a unique festival during October, DirectRooms.com can report.

September 16, 2010 (FPRC) -- Taking place over four days from 13th to 16th October 2010, Stranger Festival, will be screening a series of videos related to the lives of people aged 15 to 25. The festival has been organised by the European Cultural Foundation and is inviting young artists to put their ideas and creativity onto film for the event.
Videos can cover any topic young people feel is important to them to offer a platform for expression through short film documentaries.
People from different countries throughout Europe, who are all strangers, will be put together to work and create their own video to help people understand about each others cultures.
The festival will take place at Westergasfabriek, a park on the edge of Amsterdam. Within the park will be a series of workshops to enable videographers to improve their film making skills. Seminars provide an opportunity to share ideas while also giving advice on techniques such as camera angles and the developments in new media.
Videographers looking for a hotel Amsterdam for the festival are advised to search online in advance as the previous year in 2009 saw a large attendance and over 1650 videos uploaded to the festival’s website.
The event this year not only offers people the chance to have their video screened live at the festival but also the winning entries will be shown on TV screens all over Europe.
