November 4, 2010 (FPRC) -- Fort Lauderdale, Florida, United States of America - The Mission of St. Francis (www.TheMisison.us), which has been serving people in need for 40 years, has discovered an innovative way to meet its budget in these tough economic times. While donations to charities have decreased, the method being used has proven to be one to watch.

With both real estate and charity being on the low ends of the market now, The Mission joined the two in a venture that has created excitement, offers hope and helps at least one person or family get into a luxury home.

The simplicity of it is in a raffle. The Mission teamed with a local real estate firm to raffle a home in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, for just $30 per ticket. The home is a luxury mansion appraised at more than $3 million, and the winner can choose the home or $1.5 million in cash. Meanwhile, the Mission of St. Francis gets the proceeds less the actual cost of the home in today’s market. As the raffle has bust 300 thousand entries, the odds are far better than many other chance opportunities.

The Raffle ends at midnight on November 30, 2010, and the drawing is Fri. Dec 10, 2010 at 12:00am, and there are still tickets available.

For nearly 40 years, the Mission of St. Francis has been of service to more than 10,000 souls seeking love, understanding and compassion. Its mission first and foremost is to lead them to a living and loving God, through counseling for dependency and addictions. It has been the pursuit of this calling that has allowed its doors to remain open without seeking government grants nor any other fountains of money that might interfere with its stated plans and purposes.
