August 23, 2011 (FPRC) -- Leading spread betting website CleanFinancial.com has introduced a brand new section. The UK Share Trading Review, updated daily, lists the biggest risers and fallers on the FTSE 100, and looks at why these moves have happened.
Spread betting is becoming an increasingly popular way of speculating on stocks and shares. Since the derivative was introduced to the UK market in the 1970s, an increasing number of financial traders and investors have moved away from the more traditional form of trading shares, ie buying and selling actual stakes in a company, and towards spread betting (often referred to as spread trading).
There are a myriad of factors that have led to this trend; spread trading has many advantages over traditional share trading. Of course, financial spread betting also has some disadvantages.
