Tall Tales are Told at Edinburgh Event in October 2011
DirectRooms.com reveals that Edinburgh will be featuring the Scottish International Storytelling Festival in October that celebrates the art of storytelling with renditions of Scottish and international favourites.

September 7, 2011 (FPRC) -- Throughout the festival artists will be giving inspiring performances of their own pieces as well as traditional classics. The event not only consists of Scottish performers but will bring together European tellers and writers who will reveal their own unique tales.
Audiences can hear Greek and Roman legends along with Celtic sagas as countries unite for ten days of extraordinary stories. The international perspective is a platform for audiences to discover and explore different traditions and cultures and some of these will be revealed in the story about Odysseus, whose epic journeys are to be retold on different days.
Along with the stories people can learn about new cultures as the visiting members will be showcasing the talents of their countries with examples of traditional Greek dance and Sardinian jazz.
The festival runs from 21st to 30th October 2011 and during that time visitors checked into Edinburgh City Centre hotels can attend sessions where they can meet with the storytellers. The event is also set to include workshops on writing and storytelling as well as film screenings and creative talks.
