September 7, 2011 (FPRC) -- Officially called Spring Water Culture Week 2011 the events actually last for nearly a month and are scheduled to start on 27th September until 26th October 2011. The city’s main locations will be used to stage different events and this will include Quancheng Plaza where a large scale variety show is being organised. Theatrical performances, comedy, traditional songs and dance are all part of the show that will be entertaining audiences through the night.
Later in the evening a rousing fireworks display will take place set to light up the area and there’ll also be plenty of opportunities for visitors to try the local food being served throughout the festival.
A triathlon will be held by Daming Lake with swimming in the lake and the cycling and running disciplines being held on the surrounding terrain. The Nanshan Playing Water Festival is another section to the cultural week which will involve traditional rituals as well as playful water splashing as residents celebrate the holiday.
