Capital of Cambodia to host TED Video Event on 15 October 2011
Famous on the backpacking and traveller trail for many decades now, Phnom Penh, the capital of Cambodia, is now moving up into the hi-tech world.

September 9, 2011 (FPRC) -- This coming October Northbridge International School in downtown Phnom Penh will play host to TEDx, the live event organised by leading online video and presentations specialist TED.com.
TED.com hosts and sponsors video presentations on all manner of diverse subjects and boasts millions of fans throughout the world. The website gets millions of hits every month and the TEDx live event is set to encourage thousands of visitors to head to Phnom Penh to see more speeches, mingle with like-minded individuals enjoy the atmosphere.
The videos which fans can regularly enjoy on the TED.com website encourage lateral thinking in viewers and cover all manner of weird and wonderful topics. Previous presenters at TEDx events in other countries have included luminaries like Bill Gates, Gordon Brown and Philippe Starck, so Phnom Penh attendees can look forward to seeing and hearing some big names on 15th October.
Anyone thinking of attending should they be in the region around that time can log on to the TED.com website and book tickets for just $10 - native Cambodians can get in for the lower price of just $5.
