October 10, 2011 (FPRC) -- Peter Done, managing director of Peninsula Business Services purchases Health Assured Ltd which will create new jobs at the Manchester based Peninsula Head Office.

Peninsula Business Services, the UK’s leading employment law consultancy, is pleased to announce today the successful purchase of Health Assured Limited which offers an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) to companies which helps reduce worker absenteeism.

“It’s fair to say that I liked Health Assured so much that I bought the company”

Peter Done, managing director of Peninsula said today, “It’s fair to say that I liked Health Assured so much that I bought the company. Having considered the full range of services offered by ‘EAP’ companies that benefit both employee and employers, in particular reducing workplace absenteeism, Peninsula selected Health Assured as its ‘partner’ and launched the service in January 2011. In a short period of time it became apparent that given the number of new clients saying yes to the service I knew we were on to a winner. Following a successful launch, I approached Health Assured with regard to Peninsula purchasing the company.”

Future Plans

Mr Done comments on the future prospects, “As you would imagine Peninsula has high expectations. Without a doubt, we want to obtain a top 3 market position in the EAP market and I foresee this happening and I am pleased to report that we have seen the business double in size in the last 12 months.”

New Jobs To Be Created

Peter Done talks about job creation, “Yes this acquisition will not only create new jobs for Health Assured but also new jobs at Peninsula, here in Manchester, firstly with the setting up of 20 sales people selling the EAP product to existing clients. As the business grows I will recruit further. ”

Making The Acquisition Happen

A team from the Manchester office of Gateley- the top 50 national law firm- acted on behalf of Peninsula Business Services Ltd in regards to its acquisition of Health Assured Ltd, led by Charles Glaskie, partner in the corporate division.

Mr Glaskie commented: “We’re delighted to have advised on this transaction for Peninsula Business Services and look forward to seeing the business continue to develop in the future. As this acquisition highlights, the corporate deals market in the North West is showing some signs of improvement, particularly amongst businesses that are ambitious and have a clear strategic focus such as Peninsula.”

Notes To Editor:
· Health Assured provides peace of mind for both employer and employees, through the provision of empathic counselling and robust tax, legal and medical information services. The employer will benefit from significant cost savings, whilst having the opportunity to promote the additional benefits of a far superior EAP to staff.
