Auckland Design Garden to Present in Flower Show 2011 in This November 2011

October 16, 2011 (FPRC) -- The Flower Show dates back to 1994 and has steadily grown over the years. The show models itself on the UK’s world renowned Chelsea Flower Show and is one of New Zealand’s largest horticultural exhibitions.
This year the main themes will include ‘urban sanctuary’ themed courtyard gardens and Kiwi back gardens under the theme of ‘global village’, plus many other displays. The ‘global village’ exhibits are designed for those on restricted budgets and have to be built within a 6m x 6m space.
Competitors include Atmosfleur, who will design a Thatch Summer House Garden based on an English country garden, and Nick Beveridge and students from the Waikowhai Intermediate School, who will design a garden called Kids Naturally, which will be sponsored by the New Zealand Royal Forest and Bird Protection Society.
The list of exhibitors for all classes on display is exhaustive and there promises to be many exhibits that will be guaranteed to fire all imaginations.
The Flower Show is always extremely popular and so visitors are advised to book a room at a hotel in Auckland city centre. Transport to and from Auckland is efficient and over 200 buses pass by the Alexandra Park venue; the buses run about every ten minutes. The Flower Show organisers urge visitors to use public transport as a more sustainable method of travel.
