October 18, 2011 (FPRC) -- Mobile application developer MONSTERS Unlimited announces the release of an exciting new word puzzle game “UnWord” to the Apple App Store. The UnWord app is compatible with the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
In language, a “word” is the smallest free form that may be uttered in isolation with semantic or pragmatic content (with literal or practical meaning). “UnWord” is the process of taking larger, more complex words and creating new words from their letters.
“MONSTERS Unlimited worked with the UnWord inventors to bring this addictive game to life,” said MONSTERS Unlimited Creative Director Patrick Jebber. “Fans of popular word game apps like ‘Scrabble’ and ‘Words with Friends’ will definitely want to add UnWord to their collections.”
UnWord offers fun and interactive gameplay for all ages. After unraveling words to make new words (or “unwording”) players are assigned points based on the complexity of the words they create. But that’s not all - there’s also a race against the clock. How many words can you make before time runs out?
The UnWord app features both a “Solo Play” mode for individual gaming, and a “Pass N Play” mode for challenging friends. Sure to enliven any game night, UnWord will have partygoers testing their semantic skills and vying to be the linguistic leader of the pack.
“UnWord is one of those word games that really gives your brain a workout,” Jebber said. “You need a large vocabulary and some fast fingers to conquer this word-boggling winner.”
The UnWord app is currently available in the Apple App Store for $0.99.
