Lake District Hotel Achieves Plus Grading

October 31, 2011 (FPRC) -- Following the nationwide launch of the new ’PLUS’ status by the Best Western group, the Lord Mayor of Allerdale formally announced that the Castle Inn Bassenthwaite had been awarded this prestigious status.
This Lake District hotel is one of the first in the country to gain the new ‘Best Western Plus’ status from the Best Western group after it was launched to the nation earlier this month. Castle Inn is one of only 10 hotels in the Great Britain and is the only hotel in Cumbria to have been awarded.
This new ‘Best Western Plus’ status has been awarded to these selected hotels as they offer increased levels of luxury and service including larger beds, higher quality bed linen, extended choices and offerings at breakfast time and technology in rooms that create comfort as well as at atmosphere to be able to work for business guests.
The Keswick hotel owner, Peter Wells was one of the first hoteliers globally to apply and after passing rigorous standards and quality assessments the hotel has been granted with the title and as such changes its name to Best Western Plus Castle Inn.
