November 11, 2011 (FPRC) -- WOODRIDGE, IL - In today's economy, efficiency and accuracy are more important than ever in the pick, pack, ship industry. Numina Group introduced their newest innovation in warehouse automation this last week at the Parcel Forum 2011 in Chicago, called the SmartCart™. Leap Frogging over voice-only pick carts, SmartCart™ combines voice-directed picking with wireless put to light/carton batch technology, allowing users a one-touch, pick pack ship process.
Numina Group gave live demonstrations in their booth at Parcel Forum 2011, and explained how the SmartCart™ technology is 30% faster than a voice-only pick cart. Workers can easily pick and pack 12 or more orders at once, which not only increases productivity and return on investment, but adds single touch order fulfillment accuracy.
"We’ve always strived to be at the forefront of the material handling automation industry and are excited to debut the SmartCart™ technology. We're taking multimodal packing to the next level, and know that this latest advancement will really streamline our clients' process," said Numina Group.
Also showcased was how user-friendly SmartCart™ is for every employee. The system promotes faster pick and pack validation, combining voice with an easy to follow light-guided visual display. Offering far more than just voice picking, SmartCart™ also offers labor management tools, and velocity-based SKU picking analytics. The built-in metrics quickly inform management where production stands, further increasing the profitability of the system. In most cases, SmartCart™ will pay for itself in 12 months of usage.
"SmartCart™ is a game-changer for the order-fulfillment industry. For companies to see such an increase in productivity, accuracy, and profitability, there is simply no reason not to upgrade. Having such an intuitive interface will leave you wondering why no one thought of this system earlier!" concluded the Numina Group.
Also available from Numina Group is the X-Press PAL™ and One-Step Plus™ lines of print and apply automation solutions, which are manufactured to seamlessly integrate with ADSI's Ship-IT order manifesting software.
