November 30, 2011 (FPRC) -- KETTERING, OH - Success is a journey, not a destination; a concept Greg McAfee learned from hard work and determination. In 1990, McAfee started a business in Beavercreek, Ohio with one, well-used truck and $274. He has since guided McAfee Heating and Air Conditioning, Inc. from a fledgling idea to one of the most successful HVAC companies in the Midwest.
Now he has compiled his many years of experience into a new book called, It’s (My) Your Dream: Eight Elements to Guide Your Business Success, published by Greyden Press. Geared towards the service industry, the book is intended to inspire entrepreneurs to actively pursue their dreams of an independent career and personal success.
A long-time resident of Bellbrook, Ohio and veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Greg McAfee believes that anyone can build a thriving business if they set realistic yet high-reaching goals. Over the last decade, his company has enjoyed double-digit growth and he is regularly called upon to share the secrets of his success with other business owners all over the country through workshops and training seminars.
In addition, McAfee’s website offers newsletters, podcasts, lectures and custom marketing tools developed for the heating and air conditioning industry. His familiar tone and common sense approach allows his students to learn from someone who has been where they are now. Two and a half years in the making, It’s (My) Your Dream is yet another extension of his commitment towards providing opportunities for business owners to benefit from his achievements.
In It’s My Your Dream, McAfee illustrates the keystones of business success originating from his own experiences as an entrepreneur, but applicable to virtually any service company. His eight guiding elements for success provide the reader with practical, understandable tools for business development.
McAfee says he had several reasons for writing this book. “First, I wanted to put something in writing to my kids so they would know exactly what I did and how I did it. Mostly, though, I wanted to inspire and help small businesses and let them know that if I can do it, they can too.”
He hopes the book will help him to reach out to those who may not have access to other resources. “I teach, hold boot camps and I write articles for national magazines, all in an effort to help small business owners learn how to grow and succeed and this book will do just that.”
