December 7, 2011 (FPRC) -- All of the markets have been affected in some way by the ongoing financial crisis, including the commodities, equities, foreign exchange markets and index spread betting markets.
Traditionally, gold has been seen as a safe haven in times of market turmoil. However, the price of the precious metal can be very volatile, meaning that seeing it simply as 'safe' can be a very dangerous perspective.
