December 23, 2011 (FPRC) -- As many Detroiters know the Sunday Dinner Company is a Social Enterprise. Yes they are a restaurant and do their best to deliver that service in excellence, but what is not as well know is that the larger part of who and what they are is about giving back, helping the disenfranchised and doing their part to help rebuild their city and region... called Metropolitan Detroit.
In the spirit of giving back this holiday season the Sunday Dinner Company is proud, yet humbled, to use their establishment this holiday season to prepare and serve food for homeless veterans and homeless families. Also engaging many other community based entities to assist them in providing holiday meals to those among Detroit who are less fortunate and in great need.
As they focus on the real reason and meaning for this holiday season the Sunday Dinner Company will crescendo their philanthropic holiday activities by hosting a Christmas Eve luncheon for the 'Christ Child Home for Children', a home for children without families. This event is held at the Sunday Dinner Company on Christmas Eve (December 24, 2011) at 1:00 pm. They are bringing in the entire home (35 children & staff) to present them their very best for a traditional holiday dinner.
Here is where the community gets involved; many of their customers and surrounding community members have brought in a gift for at least one child from Christ Child Home for Children.
The Sunday Dinner Company and Christ Child House are appreciative of all the support in this effort and they know the children will not only appreciate it as well, but will feel and experience the love for them.
The Sunday Dinner Company and Christ Child House thank all for their support as we come together this holiday season to express our love and care for these children.
