Joseph D. Peters Launches "Shadow Of The Werewolf" On Kickstarter!

Joseph D. Peters, filmmaker from Renaissance Productions, Ltd. is raising funds for his horror film, "Shadow of the Werewolf" on Kickstarter.

February 8, 2012 (FPRC) -- Independent filmmaker, Joseph D. Peters, has officially launched “Shadow of the Werewolf” on Kickstarter. He has written the script and will direct the full length feature film. Simon Barron will co-produce the film with him.

Shadow of the Werewolf is a horror thriller and love story about a businessman’s seventh son who falls in love with a beautiful and mysterious woman. He is doomed once he encounters a wolf in the woods and is transformed into a creature of the night. It is an English language full-length feature film that combines gothic horror, romance, and humor.

Joseph has made several trips to Argentina to scout locations, meet with productions companies, and interview both local cast and crew. The fact that the myth of the Lobison takes place in Argentina and the current exchange rate is four to one, made sense both financially and logistically to shoot the entire film in Argentina.

Kickstarter is an online threshold pledge system for funding creative projects. Kickstarter has funded a diverse array of endeavors, ranging from indie film and music, to journalism, solar energy technology and food-related projects.

Joseph has stated, “This is an amazing site. One of the feature films online raised and met their initial target of $100,000.00 by receiving just over 4,000 pledge donations of $25.00 each. The keys to being successful on Kickstarter are to have a viable commercial film project and to get the word out about your film project by utilizing social networking.”

Joseph has recently relaunched his own website to reveal his new slate of seven feature films. His new website will also feature a store where future products from his upcoming feature films can be marketed and sold to a worldwide audience.

Joseph is also forging new alliances and relationships with European and Latin American production companies and sales agents in order to reach both US and international audiences with films that are both entertaining and enlightening, have style and substance, and shot in two versions, English and Spanish in order to penetrate all worldwide markets.

He is committed to creating, developing, and producing the highest level of feature films for the domestic and foreign markets around the world. Action, romance, drama, suspense, horror, and pure cinema will be his company’s trademarks as he shoots in countries such as Argentina, Colombia, Chile, and Uruguay.

The completed scripts are titled, “A Silence Within”, “Tango in the Dark”, “Tango Rendezvous”, “Shadow of the Werewolf”, “Hidden Tracks”, “Blood on the Streets”, and “Silent Storms”. The thrillers will be shot primarily in South America, in order to take advantage of the experienced local crew s, top level equipment, European-style architecture and the favorable exchange rates.

All of the films are fully packaged with an award winning writer/director, director of photography, sound design, and popular cast. A well established production services team will be providing the infrastructure with local crew and logistics. The Latin American cast is confirmed and they are bilingual.

All of the feature films are intended to be submitted to the film festival circuit, theatrically released, television, cable, video on demand and home entertainment.
