In 2005 the Augur Aerostatic Systems Company together with the world famous manufacturer Kubicek Polyester
designed and built the Au-29 airship — the smallest airship in the world. Even a novice pilot may easily flight
this aircraft.
The one-seat Au-29 airship falls into the BX-2 category (according to the FAI classification) and fully
complies the rules of FAA, FAR 103 (ultralight aircraft).
On the 2nd of April 2005 this aircraft established a world record in duration of flight. Since November 2005,
the Au-29 airship has come into the market and may be purchased by any potential buyer.
The airship comes within the category of ultralight aircraft. The envelope volume is 855 cu. m, the dry weight
is 253 pounds (115 kg), fuel tank volume 5 litres, maximum speed 40 km per hour. The airship may be operated in
the speed of wind 8 m per second (see additional information at the Augur’s web site:
http://aas.augurballoons.com/?id_cat=1&id_cat_item=6&id_cat_element=24 ).
The cost of the standard airship is 40,000 USD. The record holding airship which has been in short operation
(about 32 hours) may be sold at a discount price which is subject to negotiations. The cost does not include
artwork on the envelope.
The Au-29 airship is not only an excellent solution for sports, entertainment, and commercial flights, but a
real breakthrough in the modern aeronautics.
