IPCO LLC Files Second Wireless Mesh Patent Lawsuit Against Cellnet Technologies Inc.

On January 4, 2007 IPCO LLC has filed another patent infringement lawsuit against Alpharetta Georgia based Cellnet Technologies, Inc.. According to the civil action filed by IPCO LLC, Cellnet Technologies, Inc. wireless system infringes the IPCO U.S. Patent No. 7,103,511, which was issued to the plaintiff in 2006. IPCO filed suit in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

This is the second patent lawsuit filed in Georgia by IPCO against Cellnet. On October 19, 2005, IPCO filed its first patent infringement suit against Cellnet in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, alleging that Cellnet is infringing IPCO 6,249,516 patent.

IPCO recently announced signing a broad term license agreement with several large companies, and last September settled a major patent infringment lawsuit with another wireless mesh company.

"We have been granted a significant number of patents developing wireless technology since the early to mid 90s, and as any company developing technology, we are only seeking to protect our essential property rights awarded to us by the United States Patent Trademark Office" says Oliver Lee, Chief Executive Officer of IPCO LLC.
