Slingo Inc. Hosts Slingo Night – If you like Bingo you’ll Love Slingo
Slingo Inc. hosts game night for seniors at Van Dyk Park Place.
November 1, 2007 (FPRC) -- Hackensack, NJ — Slingo Inc, a leading developer and publisher of casual games (www.slingo.com), officially hosted Slingo Night at the Van Dyk Park Place.
During the fun filled evening, Van Dyk Park Place seniors played Slingo Quest™, a popular casual game brand that combines the best of Bingo and Slots in compelling new ways. Jaime Cerritelli, Activities/Volunteer Director from Van Dyk Park Place organized and moderated the event.
Lucky players received Slingo T-shirts, Slingo Hall of fame stuffed animals, Slingo key chains, 10th Anniversary Slingo commemorative collector coins, and Electronic Slingo hand held games for grand prize winners.
“Our Slingo game was so much fun! Our players ranged in age from 59 to 92 years old and a good time was had by all. The fun graphics that were projected on the large screen combined with the quick pace of the game made the event a positive and enjoyable activity. And the generous amount of prizes that were donated by Slingo truly made the event a success!” said Jaime Cerritelli, Activities/Volunteer Director from Van Dyk Park Place.
The Slingo game night is part of the company’s corporate initiative to make the Slingo brand available to anyone, regardless of age, platform, or geography. To date, Slingo games have attracted women and seniors all over the U.S. and Canada with over 1.5 million players.
“There is a misconception about seniors and technology,” said Eric Lamendola, VP of Business Development at Slingo. “Casual online games aren’t just for kids. Of the more than 1.5 million visitors who play games at Slingo.com, 30% are 55 years of age or older. This means that hundreds and thousands of seniors are going online to play games and engage in social networks on our site alone.”
“Furthermore, many of our players have various ailments that limit their daily activities,” adds Lamendola. “For these people, casual online games are entertaining, easy to play and provide healthful exercise for the mind.”
Slingo Quest won The Zeeby Award for Best Card, Board & Mahjong Game of 2006 and has been rated 4 1/2 out of 5 Stars by Gamzebo.
