November 4, 2007 (FPRC) -- Kyakare.com has launched its Bangalore events guide ( www.kyakare.com/index.php?myCity=71 )on 5th November 2007. This site is a collaborative events listing and sharing site where anybody can add events for free. This site covers Art, Theatre, Dance, Drama, Music, Courses, Eating out, Health, TV, Radio Workshops, Seminars, Movies, Discounts, Deals and many more categories. It is also useful for small and medium businesses to promote their events locally for free. The website is designed to allow people to easily search for events and happenings in the city.

“In keeping with our vision of being the complete events information portal for India, we have launched our Bangalore site. We are confident that bangaloreans will find this an informative resource. Our site is now also available on mobile handsets and can be accessed by a Wap browser while on the move (www.kyakare.com/wap) . One can now check out Movie, theatre schedules on the go.” says Baselal Killekar, the editor of the site.

The site had earlier launched Mumbai and soon plans to launch other cities in India. Cities like Delhi and Kolkata are still in beta and will be launched in the coming months.

“Kya Kare in Hindi means “What do I/we do?”. It’s a commonly used hindi colloquial question to figure out what to do next. We thought this would be quite an apt name for an events listing site. For any event related information I had to look in the paper and could never find this data online, so we thought that it would be quite useful to have a site that lists this information. We’ve kept the site quite simple and navigation friendly. The site is a platform for discovering and sharing events and it’s totally free.” says Baselal Killekar, the editor of the site.
