Battle Guiliani, Hillary and All Your Favorite Candidates and Political Pundits for a Chance to Win the Presidency and a Nintendo Wii.

Former Disney animator creators game where you can battle all your favorite presidential candidates and political pundits in the new video game DC Smackdown.

Orlando, FL (FPRC) November 27, 2007 -- Tired of the same old, same old in the state of politics today – high paid lobbyists, special interest earmarks and stolen elections? Then take back control of your government by playing the new video game from Adrenalan Studios, DC Smackdown.

DC Smackdown was created by Dave Holbrook, a former Disney animator and developed by an Orlando based game studio Adrenalan Studios. It started off as a fun one-man flash short but quickly took on a life of its own and made the leap to a full blown video game with 16 unique levels and 17 playable characters including hidden candidates that unlock as you successfully defeat your political opponents to win the presidency.

We tried to be as unbiased as we could be in character selection/development but as the game progressed staff members clearly had picked there favorites along party lines and it became a hilarious game of one up, with every special ability and attack we created. Whether it was Hillary’s “Intern Trample” special attack or Bill O’Reilly’s “No Spin Zone”. We promise there is something for everyone in DC Smackdown no matter what your political leanings.

Most of the people that worked on DC Smackdown were twenty something and certainly did not pay much attention to the political environment around them, but through character research for the game, everyone has become much more politically active. With this new-found activism it became important to us to give the same opportunity to others and we did that in the creation of the DC Smackdown website. With over 80 links to diverse news sites and blogs, we also offer direct links to write your senators and congressman as well as voter registration. It also does not hurt that we are having weekly 8GB Ipod Nano giveaways as well a chance to win the Grand Prize, a Nintendo Wii Gaming System.

So what started off, as a silly personal project became a hilarious video game full of backstabbing, low blows and lying politicians? Its so much like the real thing only smaller. I hope you all enjoy playing DC Smackdown as much we had making it and remember you might like Ron Paul but only in DC Smackdown will he ever be the President.
