Adazon Acquires Assets To Produce Custom Waterproof Vinyl Labels
Adazon Labels and Barcode Solutions has purchased the assets previously owned by Combined Printing in Arizona to extend its capabilities into custom vinyl label manufacturing.
December 10, 2007 (FPRC) --
Adazon's purchase of the assets of Combined Printing increase its core capabilities in label manufacturing with the capabilities of converting specialty vinyl labels.
Vinyl material is very expensive to convert in a web environment and the actual conversion process is critical in keeping the costs down. With the purchase of the custom equipment, dies, and the transfer of knowledge, Adazon now has the capabilities of producing colored tinted vinyl materials into die cut labels as a core competency for the business.
Vinyl labels are used in many different applications from labeling drums to sequentially bar coding rebuilt transmissions. Serial numbering and location labeling in greasy, dirty environments requires a label that will stand up to the dirt and grim and that is where tinted vinyl meets the requirement. Find more applications here, http://www.adazonusa.com/colorvinylweatherproofwaterprooflabels-a-50.html at Adazon's web site where customers can purchase custom or stock labels on line 24/7 a day.
The tinted vinyl is not just a flood coated white vinyl label. It is actually tinted all the way through the label material with the specific color. This makes the material very expensive. To minimize the expense on setup, a very short web is needed and knowledge on how to make quick plate changes without adding waste is key to the process.
The new equipment and knowledge transfer, make Adazon a leader in tinted vinyl labels for all industrial and commercial applications. Clean room labels, bin and barcode labels, serial number labels and product labels can all be made from this durable material with lasting color which is imbedded in the substrate.
The equipment has been relocated to the Minnesota production facility centralizing the capabilities to maximize efficiencies in staffing and providing a central location for national shipping coverage. Production has been in full swing since September 1st on the new equipment. Customer transitions have been smooth and error free, meeting lead-time requirements. Customers continue to count on Adazon for innovation and service in today's growing label marketplace so adding the expertise in vinyl labels complements that offering.
