Deceased Author Continues to Live On Through Memoir and Book Event
“Are You Talking To Me?” author to be remembered by friends and fans at March 1st book reading and signing event
February 27, 2008 (FPRC) --
ST. LOUIS, MISSOURI – Former DJ-turned-author Don Corey was in the midst of publishing his memoir when he suffered a severe and fatal heart attack. Yet, despite the immeasurable pain of losing a best friend and spouse, his devoted wife, Katherine pushed through her grief to see the book through its final proofing stages and release. To formally introduce the book – “Are You Talking To Me?” – Webster Groves Public Library in the St. Louis, MO area will host a book reading and reception on March 1st, 2008 at 2 p.m.
Located at 301 East Lockwood Avenue in Webster Groves, the public library will feature book readings by St. Louis radio personalities, such as "Radio" Rich Dalton and Mark Klose from K-HITS 96 as well as Corey’s widow and childhood friends. Copies of “Are You Talking To Me?” will be available for sale at the event. Attendees will get the chance to celebrate Corey’s unique spirit with the people that knew him best while listening to both book excerpts and previously unpublished accounts of his life.
“Are You Talking To Me?” captures the ache for a childhood dream and the persistence to make that dream come true. More though, it shows the transition from young boy to mature man as these goals – once held as the pinnacle of a life’s efforts – fade into memory as something of much higher importance and lasting comes into focus.
