Sclerosufelagid Lanches a New Website

May 16, 2008 (FPRC) -- The website is a comprehensive guide to sclerosis as an illness; its forms, its symptoms, how to battle it and how to live with it. There is a news sections detailing lectures or events on the topic by the organization’s staff as well as well as others. The Visitors can also learn about the non-stop charity programs running throughout FO.

The new website is build using a modular content management system (CMS), codenamed Ivevo by Knassar. This CMS allows the end user to easily manage the website and upgrade it using various other modules that Knassar offers.

The following Ivevo modules were present upon the site launch: Editor, Activity, Image Manager, Search, News and Menu manager modules.

Sclerosufelagið a community organization from the Faroe Islands has aimed at helping people with sclerosis. There are about 370 people in the participating in Sclerosufelagið. About 40 of them suffer from Multiple Sclerosis, the most common form of them all.

Multiple sclerosis is a condition in which the organism fails to recognize its own constituent parts and as consequence the immune system attacks the central nervous system (CNS), leading to the myelin sheath of neurons being damaged.
Sclerosis may cause numerous physical and mental symptoms, and often progresses to physical and cognitive disability.
This disease does not have a cure, but several therapies have proven helpful. Life expectancy of patients can be nearly the same as that of the unaffected population, and in some cases a near-normal life is possible.

The Ivevo CMS is owned, developed and marketed by Knassar.
