Dexterous Writer Releases Fictional Book – ‘an Icy Step to Oblivion’ by Robert Mann
Robert Mann launches fictional novel relating to environmental issues. Author shares experience of book writing and personal life.
May 31, 2008 (FPRC) -- The story is set in England 30 years into the future; but it is an England vastly changed due to global warming. The polar ice caps have melted, causing vast areas of the coast line to be flooded. To compound the problem, temperatures have plummeted creating incredible hardship for all.
The story plots the fear, struggle and bravery of three close families and the local Vicar in a small town in the New Forest; as their faith and beliefs are tested to the full by the release of the incarcerated demonic Gorgones from ancient Greek times. The friends must save their town and the multitudes; who inadvertently are ready to take an icy step to oblivion. The conflict between good and evil ensues, with possible tragic and doomsday consequences; culminating in a nail biting ending. “‘An Icy Step To Oblivion’ came from growing up on the edge of the New Forest in Ringwood renamed Ringhurst in the story although anyone who knows the town would recognise many of the landmarks described in the story and a love for that area I still have now and a growing concern for global warming and its possible side effects.”
The book is published by Pneuma Springs Publishing, a company that is absolutely passionate about assisting authors to turn their writing dreams into reality. Pneuma Springs believe that talented authors deserve to be published and read.
