Origin Digital Expands Odaptor’s Features to Digital Publishers, Advertisers, and Media Agencies

New functionality delivers scheduling, ad insertion, playout, measurement, and analysis capabilities

June 4, 2008 (FPRC) WEEHAWKEN, NJ -- Origin Digital, an Accenture Company, today announced it has expanded its Web-based Odaptor software platform with a new module that extends its capabilities to digital publishing environments. Designed for publishers, advertisers and media agencies, Odaptor’s new module enables more effective handling of digital content rights and addresses multi-platform workflow and monetization requirements.

Managing asset requirements from media ingest through to video ad insertion and verification, Odaptor’s added module seamlessly integrates scheduling, ad management, playout, measurement, and reporting capabilities. The Odaptor platform provides a foundation to enhance and extend content management systems, channel creation, and rights management to maximize digital publisher content production and monetization.

“The rapid growth of online video advertising is providing organizations with a tremendous opportunity to extend their brands and communicate with their audiences in more ways than ever before,” said Darcy Lorincz, CEO, Origin Digital. “However, many organizations with multiple properties and distribution platforms are unable to effectively track and manage their campaigns. Odaptor provides a centralized platform to not only create and manage the channels but also schedule, measure and scale the effectiveness of these campaigns.”

Utilizing Odaptor’s scheduler feature, users (publishers, ad agencies, etc.) can access asset data from the Odaptor content management system to create a channel schedule, ad insertion schedule, or playlist. Odaptor collects all content request data, applies any targeting rules that might apply and delivers to the user’s player of choice, a specific playlist pointing to content available on the appropriate delivery network.

Managing a publishing Website through Odaptor simply requires setting up the channels and schedules. Once the schedule is set up and videos are assigned to it, content, advertising and business logic are all moved out from the interface to the media servers, which serve a playlist to the user’s Web site. Users only need to include a compliant media player on their Website, which makes a call back to Odaptor for playlist instructions. The player then plays the video ads and communicates back to Odaptor any user interactions. Odaptor supports all popular players including Flash player, Windows Media Mobile, Quicktime, Silverlight, etc.

Additional capabilities of Odaptor’s new module include:
o Centralized control for multi-platform, widely distributed content
o Ability to create and manage channels for multiple properties, across distribution mediums. Schedule rules and content assignments within those channels, including ad impression frequency, frequency capping, verification, and royalty payment logs
o Creation of advertiser accounts with direct log-in access for campaign and insertion placements, video upload and insertion frequency and CPM management
o Geographical targeting
o Analysis of unique number of plays at the publisher or property level

Origin Digital will demonstrate Odaptor and its new functionality at the Advertising 2.0 New York Show, June 4th – 5th.
