Hailing from the beautiful coastal city of Durban, South Africa, Aileen Aylward has been named Face of the Future 2008. Face of the Future seeks talented, motivated women who are striving to reach their goals in life and offers them the opportunity to support and bring awareness to worthy causes and charities worldwide.

July 28, 2008 (FPRC) -- Aileen Aylward, 22, of Durban, South Africa, has been named Face of the Future 2008. Selected from a pool of eighty-seven talented women from around the world, Aileen has seven years under her belt as a professional model and has been fortunate enough to appear in many magazine campaigns and shows. Ice Model Management, South Africa, represents her. Aileen has studied make-up with Lisa Bailey of Pout allowing her to work behind the scenes as well as in front of the camera. She hopes to one day own her own clothing label or go into cosmetics. 'I can often be found doing make-up for shoots to build my portfolio in this area.' said Aileen.

While pursuing her career as a model, Aileen studied Horticulture through the Durban Institute of Technology and worked in the fields of marketing and design. Living in Durban, one of South Africa’s most popular coastal cities, what would a perfect day be for Aileen? 'Waking up with the sun hitting my face and the noise of the waves crashing, then going down to the beach with friends and family and spending the day swimming, playing touch rugby, cricket, snorkeling and having a picnic. There has to be no wind or rain on this perfect day and the sea must be clean. A hot shower afterwards and an afternoon powernap! Sounds amazing!' she said.

The Face of the Future competition was established in 2002 to generate more interest in online showcasing of talent and connecting of talent with the movers and shakers of the fashion and entertainment industries. Today, Face of the Future continues to offer exposure for talented women as well as bring awareness and support to organized charities, events and foundations around the world.

Aileen is available for personal appearances, speaking engagements and assignments worldwide. Face of the Future will be supporting and bringing awareness to the Front Row Foundation which provides front row seats to concerts, sporting events or live performances for both children and adults who have life threatening illnesses as well as Panda Pre-Primary School, a private school for underprivileged children on the Bluff in Durban, South Africa. Now in its sixth year, women, age 18 through 29, who are genuinely passionate about the world around them and the people in it, are determined, motivated and striving to reach their goals in life are invited to apply for Face of the Future 2009.
