New study Provides Key Insights into the Americas’ Road & Rail Construction Projects
The projects are at various stages of development, and are in four main categories: railways, roads, trams and metros, and tunnels and bridges.
The average value of road and rail projects across the over 900 projects studied is US$1.12 billion. Railway projects dominate, with a combined valued of US$495.6 billion, accounting for 45% of the total value. The US leads with a project pipeline valued at US$651.7 billion. The US has seven of the top 10 projects by value.
Railroad Workers to Conduct National Rail Workers Memorial Day
Fed up with the spike in railroad worker on-the-job fatalities, railroad workers nationwide will take action on Friday, June 18th to remember the fallen dead and to fight for the living. Railroaders across the country will wear black to work as a show of solidarity on the Friday of Fathers Day weekend.

In response to an alarming escalation of employee fatalities on the nation's railroads, Railroad Workers United, a grouping of concerned rail workers across the country, is calling for all railroaders to wear a black shirt to work on Friday, June 19th to "remember the dead and fight for the living."
