December 1, 2010 (FPRC) -- The recent scandal involving WikiLeaks further illustrates the level of incompetence by which the U.S. government handles its affairs and like any good news source OffTheGridNews.com has published a telling article that demonstrates the ineptitude of our trusted leaders and their colossal failure to safeguard their documented pettiness.

This level of insanity can only be met with humor and OTGNís satirical article 'WikiLeaks Revelations Prompt Unprecedented, Tearful State Department Apology' brings plenty of laughs as it tackles the issues with a tongue in cheek style.

Over the past several days we have seen government officials jockeying for position in front of television cameras to blast WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange for publishing hundreds of thousands of 'secret' documents that were never intended for public eyes. Of course many of these documents amounted to nothing more than grade school name-calling yet the fact that they were displayed on WikiLeaks was certainly an embarrassing moment for the Obama administration.

OffTheGridNews offers a different approach to the WikiLeaks fiasco and the satirical article starts with an apology issued by the State Department. For anybody who has paid attention to the workings of the State Department the mere thought of a public apology should illicit a chuckle.

So it begins as 'WikiLeaks Revelations Prompt Unprecedented, Tearful State Department Apology' details Secretary of State Hillary Clintonís mea culpa for the verbal assault against WikiLeaks and while the former First Lady acknowledged that in the past such a security breach 'would have traditionally been met with authoritarian circling-the-wagons tactics and self-righteous condemnations,' the newer, peaceful, more reflective State Department 'suddenly realized how hypocritical that would be.'

To further demonstrate the absurdity of the OTGN satirical piece Clinton informs the American people that her apology is sincere and to prove it the State Department would be the first to declassify its top secret files. Clinton did issue a warning though, stating 'If you think the revelations of lower-level diplomatic correspondence was embarrassing you should see all the crazy crap we say in top secret communications.'

Making things all the funnier is Assangeís reaction to the Clintonís calls for declassification of top secret documents as the pariah screams 'Wikileaks simply canít continue as a viable organization if every government agency has the freedom to release its own classified documents. And we simply canít compete with them on top secret communications. Itís not fair, not fair.'

The response from the government concerning the WikiLeaks disclosure has not been one of remorse or repentance but rather victimization and 'WikiLeaks Revelations Prompt Unprecedented, Tearful State Department Apology' is intended to show just how absurd this response really is.
