March 17, 2014 (FPRC) -- The eleventh LifeSearch Protection Awards was held at the Haberdasher’s Hall in London on Wednesday 5th March and Maggie Johnson, Director of Executive Virtual Support, has yet again been behind this great award ceremony.
Special guest host Roger Edwards of Roger Edwards Marketing thanked Maggie for her “sterling efforts” in arranging and co-ordinating the event and presented her with a beautiful bunch of flowers. Maggie then made a quick speech during which she thanked LifeSearch and expressed that “it’s an absolute privilege to be working with LifeSearch and with some fantastic people in a brilliant industry”.
The Awards are held annually by protection specialists LifeSearch and were set up back in 2004 to ensure the regular recognition of achievements within the protection insurance industry. Tom Baigrie, Founder and CEO of LifeSearch, has remarked that “we are great believers in improving what we do, even when it was remarkably good beforehand”, a quote which sheds a little light on the motivation behind the awards.
The awards consist of 13 categories. The Best Underwriting Team and Nick Crossman Award were both won this year by Aviva. The Most Improved Provider and Best Overall were both awarded to LV, while the award for Best Service was swept up by L&G. Amongst some of the other winners were Friends Life who were presented with The Best CIC Award and Best New Initiative Award.
A very delighted Steve Payne was awarded with Best Protection Leader award, while the accolade for Best Individual Impact went to LV’s Graham Taylor. The Best Protection Story was presented to Johanna Gornitzki for her work on The Mail on Sunday, and Best IP Provider went to EFF. Ageas claimed two awards, Best Ecommerce and Best Provider (existing). Last but most certainly not least, Bright Grey was handed the trophy for Best Sales Material.
