The children celebrated Republic Day by making the flag, learning about the current Prime Minister and President and identifying the map of India while been shown a brief developmentally-appropriate clip explaining Independence. Pre-schoolers across grades along with their parents kick started a week long environment cleanliness campaign in-line with the Swacch Bharat ideology. Young tots were taught about segregating wastes, keeping surrounding clean, and conserving water and resources. A rally with parents and kids was conducted across neighbouring areas.
Kusum Kanwar, Social Edupreneur and Managing Director, Kangaroo Kids Learning Systems said, For any growth, cleanliness is a must. Therefore, our overarching theme was environmental education and cleanliness to celebrate Republic Day this year. While our children are always enthusiastic about such campaigns we were taken aback with the unprecedented response by our parents and onlookers.
Anupama Bhatt parent of Baruni Bhatt studying in nursery of Kangaroo Kids Kandivali, said, I have been participating in the cleanliness drive campaigns by the preschool every year. The buzz, the drive and energy is so palpable. It was wonderful to participate and contribute on Republic Day. The best part is the awareness and conscientiousness the children demonstrate.
