Leeds, West Yorkshire -- October 9, 2015 (FPRC) -- With demand for higher standards of student accommodation growing at a rapid pace, the UK city gains its first luxury student apartments in the form of IconInc. Units at the brand-new £15 million development are being spoken for quickly, with new residents praising the way it redefines what student living has traditionally meant in the UK.
Featuring en-suite bathrooms, 100Mb broadband with high-speed WiFi, and all-inclusive utilities, the fully furnished apartments at IconInc grant occupants access to an on-site gym staffed by personal trainers, a state-of-the-art cinema room, 24-hour concierge service, and more, as is detailed at the IconInc website.
"Whether they arrive from elsewhere or come from within the United Kingdom, today's students are far less likely to settle for the squalid accommodations that used to be taken for granted," IconInc representative Lydia Eustace said, "Demand for luxury student living space is increasing quickly in the UK, and IconInc is the first development to truly deliver. With only a few places still open at the new development, we are changing the way that students think about their living arrangements, delivering a no-compromise experience that can make their university years truly unforgettable ones."
University students all around the world have traditionally made sacrifices in order to pursue their studies. Perhaps most notable among these has been an acceptance of low-quality housing whose cheaper rent allowed them to save money for tuition and other requirements.
That has started to change in recent years, however. A 2013 report in the New York Times, for instance, looked at the growth of interest in luxury-focused student accommodations in the United States, with developers responding by putting up new buildings stocked with amenities like tanning salons, spas, and sprawling outdoor pools complete with cabanas.
The same thing has been happening in the United Kingdom, too. With the opening of the new IconInc development in Leeds, the city obtains its first development of this kind, and early response from students, the general public and national media has been highly enthusiastic and engaged.
When American Arundhati Patel, student at the University of Leeds won a year of residence at IconInc in a competition run by Parklane Properties, the company behind IconInc, the event received coverage worldwide in outlets including the Daily Mail and the American Bazaar. Worth £7,000 per year, Patel's apartment at IconInc will elevate the level of her living experience as she prepares to graduate with a degree in Graphic and Communications Design in 2016.
As can be seen at the development's official website at iconinc.co.uk , IconInc is well-stocked with amenities to make any student's time at university special. The first of its kind in the UK, the luxury-focused new development includes a spacious gym stocked with free weights and cardiovascular machines, a private cinema room, free breakfast, lounge with free freshly ground coffee available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, study rooms, a 24-hour concierge, and more. With only a few apartments left at IconInc, those interested in the most luxurious student living the UK has to offer are encouraged to sign on soon.
The first luxury student accommodation of its kind, IconInc provides students in Leeds with high-end living space and amenities, including flat-screen televisions and designer kitchens, along with a well-equipped gym, private cinema room, community pantry, and 24-hour concierge.
