Research substantiates that fathers’ interactions with their children can impact/ creates a positive influence on their children’s development. Clear, spoken advice is a powerful agent for helping parents acquires new knowledge. Other studies showed that specific verbal suggestions in combination with supportive counselling (i.e., meaning opportunities for parents to share other issues, such as concerns about emotional well-being, and to receive encouragement and validation) can lead to even greater acquisition of knowledge and skills. Brief informative talks increased parents' knowledge (of epilepsy), but a combination of informative talks and supportive counselling was more effective in improving knowledge and also in decreasing parental anxiety. Family-based supports are preferable, families may consider other out-of-home placements including group homes, placement in a nursing facility, or other forms of institutional care when sufficient family-based services are not available.
Do you agree with this?? “Adolescence is a critical time of life to build the health of the next generation”
Pediatric healthcare is now dealing with the treatment of child related diseases, also with development and care. Children often suffer from respiratory, gastrointestinal and other kind of chronic disease because of lower immunity. The global market for pediatric healthcare is accounted to approximately $83 billion in 2013 and expected to grow at 7.8% CAGR in future. Increase in demand for chronic disease treatment is more common in children, these diseases vary from short term to long-term treatments that consume a lot time and exert financial pressures on the parents. Changes in child care trend increases the prevalence rate of pediatric diseases.
