Opening of the Online Theatre Academy
The Online Opening event on Saturday 17 Oct. 2020 at 3pm with the artistic director Dr Jurij Alschitz and the Team of Teachers will give insight in the innovate programme of the Online Theatre Academy.
October 12, 2020 (FPRC) -- The Online Theatre Academy is the newest offering from the World Theatre Training Institute AKT-ZENT/ITI to the international theatre community. It is the necessary answer to the rapid cultural development in regards to our digitally connected globalised world. We all see how human nature is changing and demanding different training. Dr Jurij Alschitz and his international team of teachers have developed new teaching concepts for the professionalization of changing artistic practice. Going online - is just a format; the stage remains in the centre for theatre artists while other new media possibilities naturally give birth to new forms of artistic expression.
Three departments offer a wide range of unconventional subjects and research topics in various formats fostering the ability for self-education and the artist's self-creation:
The TEAM OF TEACHERS‘ DEPARTMENT proposes face-to-face tuition in small groups, teaching in five European languages.
The SCHOOL OF JURIJ ALSCHITZ focuses on the research of Quantum Pedagogy and Holistic Cognition in English and Italian language.
The RUSSIAN DEPARTMENT will combine Russian and Western theatre cultures, systems and methods to encourage professional theatre artists to new practices and inventions with courses, podcasts and videos in Russian language.
The World Theatre Training Institute AKT-ZENT is the appointed research centre of the International Theatre Institute, the World Organisation for the Perfoming Arts and active member of the ITI/UNESCO Network for Higher Education in the Performing Arts.
It was founded by the artistic director Dr. Jurij Alschitz who formed over the years the international Team of Teachers. Today, the WTTI works exclusively towards the innovation of theory and practice of theatre training. The Online Theater Academy is the institute's newest programme.
