February 22, 2011 (FPRC) -- Cedar, MN - Arrowhead Coating and Converting announces they have been awarded United State Patent # 7,816,003 for their Clear Draw film product. This innovative product was developed for the skin packaging industry to alleviate common problems encountered when coating board stock. Manufacturers common use skin packaging to secure parts and enhance visibility.
Rather than the usual process of converters applying adhesive to the board stock before the film is heat sealed to the board stock, Arrowhead's Clear Draw film already has adhesive pre-applied to it, saving time and labor for the packager. This process provides a better bond and eliminates the chalky residue and cloudy appearance common to all other film applications. Moreover, this product provides that the film is more closely drawn around high profile parts thereby giving a neater, cleaner, more secure seal. Arrowhead's research also shows savings on packaging costs, ranging from 5% to 40%.
'This product has the potential to revolutionize the packaging industry,' said Patrick Kohler, President of Arrowhead Coating and Converting. 'The exciting thing is, this technology is not just limited to the skin packaging industry, but has applications in other markets.'
