December 23, 2012 (FPRC) -- Enviro Dangers recommends that property owners use the newly-upgraded contractor model Bio3Blaster ozone generator to kill toxic mold, bed bug infestations, bacteria, and offensive odors in homes and commercial buildings.
Producing a huge 28,000 mg ozone per hour, the contractor model has sufficient ozone power to kill mold spores and mold growth, odors, and bed bugs everywhere that the gas can reach, including remote nooks and crannies of rooms and areas being ozone treated.
Ozone is also very effective to killing mold spores and mold growth inside hard-to-reach heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) equipment and duct surfaces.
As to ozone killing bed bugs, a Department of Entomology, Purdue University, research study in 2012 concluded that: (1) adult male bed bugs were susceptible to relatively short periods of ozone exposure when high concentrations of ozone were used. 100% mortality was achieved when bed bugs were exposed to 1800 ppm (parts per million) ozone for 150 minutes; and (2) when a low concentration of ozone in the presence of 1% hydrogen peroxide was tested, 100% mortality was observed when insects were exposed to ozone for 48 hours.
The safe use of high output ozone requires that there be no people, pets, or plants inside the house or commercial building during the ozone treatment time, and for two hours afterwards. Ozone, which is oxygen temporarily with one extra molecule, returns to regular oxygen within one hour after the end of the ozone process. Then the building needs to be aired out for at least one additional hour.
Ozone treatment is usually scheduled for four to six hours in each area of the house or building being treated. How to use ozone treatment safely and effectively for environmental remediation is explained in the ozone blasterís user manual at www.ozonegeneratorkillsmold.com.
