The London-based corporate events company has announced the development of a new programme of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team building events.

February 18, 2015 (FPRC) -- Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities are designed to raise awareness of community and environmental issues within a corporate team. The event specialists at Zing Events in London are seeking to expand this trending concept by introducing exciting and innovative CSR event ideas to companies in the city and beyond.

The new activities are likely to be 2-3 hours long and will be suitable for groups of 15 attendees or more. Delegates enrolling for CSR team building events could soon be undertaking all kinds of community-based tasks, including creating toys for disadvantaged children, when the programme is launched later in the year.
Zing are hoping to launch the activities worldwide.

Because they’re a far cry from ‘traditional’ team building activities, participants can expect to take away a real sense of achievement from Zing’s new CSR events.

“We’re introducing CSR activities because we’ve seen a noticeable increase in demand for philanthropic team building events in the UK in recent years,” says Charlie Berry, Managing Director at Zing. “Companies are becoming more and more aware of their social and environmental impact and are looking at ways to give something back to the community whilst continuing to develop their staff’s skills.”

Corporate team building events have a wobbly reputation for being dull and out-of-touch with the demands of the modern workplace, but Charlie has seen first-hand how refreshing CSR activities can be for staff who think they’ve seen it all before.

“When people recognise that what they’re doing with their day really is making a difference, they become significantly more engaged in the activity and find the team building event to be a much more valuable and worthwhile experience. Generally, CSR activities will strengthen the relationships between team members by developing their collaboration skills and uniting them in a common purpose.”

If a company has a specific vision, Zing will have the provision to create and run fully bespoke CSR team building activities on request.
