Albuquerque, NM April 6, 2015 – According to the American Pet Products Association (APPA), there are more than 82.5 million U.S. homes with pets, and this is expected to rise to 92 million by 2018. The total of U.S. pet industry expenditures for 2014 is estimated at $58.51 billion, up from $55.72 billion spent in 2013. Even during the uncertain economic times of 2008-2013, the rate of spending on pets grew more than three percent annually.
